When I was a little girl every Saturday evening me and my grandmother cleaned the house. We washed curtains, swept/mopped floors, washed windows, wiped down floor boards, clean the restroom/bedrooms, did laundry, and cleaned the glass/screens in the doors. My granddad enjoyed his baseball game while we worked.
Today house chores are shared by both in the home. Sometimes its done by who gets home from work first, some rotate, and others may clean together.
Grandmas came from a time period where the man was the King of his castle. Kings are waited on and catered. So can we rightfully today say that are husbands are the kings of their castle if we are not waiting on them?
When it came to cooking, my grandmother did it all. She made my granddads plate and took it to him if he wanted to watch baseball while eating. When he finished, he called for her and she came and got his plate from him. She asked if he needed anything else before she went off to do other things. Some of todays women either cook once in a while, don't know how, don't cook at all, or cook every other day, some the husband does all of the cooking. Every relationship is different.
